"Red/Green Diptych" (48"x84") is currently featured in Into the Wild at Carol Jazzar Contemporary Gallery in Miami, FL.

"Orange Texas Maple" (30" x 30"), made in the Texas Hill Country in November, 2008. Valley House Gallery in Dallas, Texas showcased this new work in my recent Autumn Spectacles show in January, 2009.
"It is one of the premier national honors bestowed in the visual arts; now, two faculty artists from the Florida State University art department each have painted their way to a 2006 Joan Mitchell Award and the $25,000 grant that goes with it."

American Paintings, 2008 Southern Edition.
This book was juried by Peter Boswell, curator of the Miami Art Museum.

In 2008, Garcia-Roig received an Individual Artist Grant Fellowship from Florida's Division of Cultural Affairs.
